GENERAL INFORMATION ON LAA
- LAA has a non-euthanasia policy
(no animal is put to sleep unless on veterinary advice
- LAA is open for viewing between
10am till 2.30pm seven days a week
- LAA homes approx 250 dogs and
150 cats each year
- LAA is affiliated to Wood Green
Animal Shelters
- LAA is a member of the
Association of Dog and Cat Homes (ADCH)
- LAA's running costs are
£18,000 per month - this works out at approx £5.00 per animal per
day
- LAA relies entirely on donations
from the public, though some of the long term residents help out by attracting
sponsorship (see Spons-a-Dog page)
Ways In Which You Can Help
As
stated previously the monthly running costs amount to approx £15,000,
below are various ways in which YOU can help us raise these much needed
funds.
- Donation - remember to
GIFT AID all donations if you are a tax payer, as this means we receive a
further 28p for every pound donated from the Inland Revenue
